Joe Parent

Vice President of Strategic Planning and Expansion

Joe Parent is Vice President of Strategic Planning and Expansion for Medical Mutual of Ohio.  Mr. Parent has been focused on mergers and acquisitions in support Medical Mutual's expansion and diversification strategy since early 2006.

Mr. Parent joined Medical Mutual in 2003 with responsibility for coordinating activities of Medical Mutual outside the state of Ohio.  This included the expansion of Consumers Life Insurance Company, one of Medical Mutual's insurance subsidiaries, into new states including Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Parent worked in the Property and Casualty insurance industry.  Most recently he was Vice President at Infinity Property & Casualty, responsible for the company's standard automobile product in a number of states, as well as their Classic Collectors and Umbrella products nationwide.  Before that Mr. Parent was Vice President at Reliance Personal Insurance, managing the nonstandard auto product in several states, including Florida and New York.

Mr. Parent has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration from Miami University, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing.
