George Stadtlander

Executive Vice President and Chief Managed Care Officer

George Stadtlander is executive vice president and chief managed care officer for Medical Mutual Mutual of Ohio. He is responsible for Care Management, Provider Contracting, National Networks, Actuarial and SuperNet.

Stadtlander previously served Medical Mutual as Vice President, Individual Small Group Market and Chief Underwriter. As head of the Underwriting team, he was responsible for establishing pricing for customers, evaluating customer-specific risk, supporting the Sales division and broker community in the field through account/prospect presentations, and participating in corporate planning.

In 2007, three years after his promotion to chief underwriter, Stadtlander was named vice president, Individual Small Group Market, assuming responsibilities for individual and small group sales, service and underwriting.

Since joining Medical Mutual in 1986, Stadtlander has served as manager of Provider Finance and Contracting, director of Group Reporting and director of Utilization Management. In this role, he improved customer service performance while reducing costs for Medical Mutual customers.

Stadtlander has also served as vice president of Product Management, and in 2001 he took on the role of vice president of Underwriting before being named chief underwriter in 2004.

A Certified Public Accountant since 1981, Stadtlander is active in the Society for Health Care Marketing Executives and the Individual and Small Group Forum. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kent State University.
