Richard Waldron
Director of Institutional & Ancillary Contracting
Richard Waldron is Director of Network Management for Medical Mutual’s Northeast Region that includes Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. He is responsible for the management of all hospital and physician contracting in the region, as well as related network operations.
Prior to joining Medical Mutual, Mr. Waldron spent five years working as an attorney in private practice. He spent two years with Burke, Haber & Berick and three years with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Arnoff. In both capacities he was responsible for handling all aspects of civil business litigation. Mr. Waldron originally joined Medical Mutual in 1989 as Associate Corporate Counsel in the Legal department. He was promoted within the same area several times and ultimately was named Director, Senior Corporate Counsel in 1997. In 2002, he was named the Director of Institutional and Ancillary Contracting for the Company. Mr. Waldron assumed his current role in January of 2007.
Mr. Waldron earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ohio University in 1981 and went on to Ohio State University where he was graduated as a Juris Doctor in 1984.
Mr. Waldron is a member of the Cleveland chapter of the American Jewish Committee and a former board member of the Cleveland/San Jose Ballet.
