The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of America’s healthcare.

Medical Mutual has earned an Excellent Accreditation for the following products:

  • SuperMed Plus and Ohio Med PPO

NCQA’s Excellent Accreditation status is reserved for the best health plans in the nation. It is only awarded to those plans that meet or exceed NCQA’s rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement and deliver excellent clinical care.

In addition, Medical Mutual has earned the NCQA Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation, which evaluates how well a wellness and health promotion organization manages all parts of its wellness and health promotion program for continuous improvement of the quality of services, materials and activities provided to eligible individuals.

Medical Mutual has earned Full Accreditation for its Health Utilization Management and Case Management programs from URAC, a non-profit organization that establishes standards for the Managed Care industry. Full Accreditation is the highest level of accreditation awarded by URAC.
