Benefits At A Glance

Medical Coverage
It’s important to have a medical plan that adequately protects you and your family throughout the year. Medical Mutual offers two major plans to employees: The Core Program and the Premium Program. Both Plans utilize the SuperMed Plus Network to receive the highest level of benefits.
Dental
When most people think about good health care, they include dental benefits. That’s why Medical Mutual provides their employees with a dental plan covering preventive, essential, complex and orthodontic services.
Vision
Benefits for vision care are another part of the Medical Mutual commitment to encourage all employees to conscientiously care for themselves and their families. Medical Mutual employees can choose from two different vision programs: SuperMed Vision and Traditional Vision.
Spending Accounts
While Medical Mutual offers a comprehensive benefit program, there are still some expenses that are not covered. To pay for unreimbursed Medical expenses Medical Mutual offers two benefits: Health Care Account (HCA) and Dependent Care Account (DCA). Both programs enable you to be reimbursed for many uninsured health care and dependant care expenses on a pre-tax basis.
Survivor Benefit Plans
Medical Mutual offers company paid Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and Travel Accident Insurance. In addition, Medical Mutual offers Supplemental Life Insurance and Dependant Life insurance, both of these programs give the employees the opportunity to purchase additional protection.
Time off Benefits
Medical Mutual understands the importance of creating a balance between work and personal life, therefore Medical Mutual has designed programs to give you a much needed break. Medical Mutual provides a Paid Time Off (PTO) days for their employees. The vacation plan is designed so that the longer an employee has been with the company, the more vacation time they've earned. In addition, Medical Mutual observes 9 paid holidays.
Retirement Plans
The Employees’ Retirement Savings Plan 401(K) can help you focus on your future by providing you with an opportunity to save on either a pre-tax or after-tax basis. Medical Mutual provides matching contributions. In addition to the ERSP 401(K) plan, Medical Mutual also has a defined contribution plan. To be eligible for this plan, employees must be 21 years old within 6 months of service.
Education Assistance
Medical Mutual values education, therefore employees wishing to expand their capabilities are eligible to receive tuition reimbursement for qualified coursework at accredited colleges and universities.
Employee Recognition
Experts and our employees agree, a little recognition can make a big difference in performance. With that in mind, Medical Mutual has designed a recognition program for their employees called “Shining Stars”. The Shining Stars in an online recognition program that rewards employees for going above and beyond expectations.
Wellness
Medical Mutual cares about the general wellness of their employees, and therefore offers numerous Workplace Wellness benefits such as fitness center discounts, Walking Club, EAP, Total Wellness Newsletter, and Quarterly Information Tables.
