CHANEY ADDS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER DUTIES AT MEDICAL MUTUAL OF OHIO

CLEVELAND – Jared Chaney, executive vice president and chief communications officer at Medical Mutual of Ohio, is adding chief marketing officer to his duties.

Chaney’s new duties are a result of the consolidation of the Corporate Communications and Sales & Marketing divisions at Medical Mutual.

“Though the Marketing and Communications areas have worked together closely in the past, I really believe that this consolidation will better integrate the reputation of our company into our sales process,” said Rick Chiricosta, president and CEO of Medical Mutual.

“Healthcare reform gives us a tremendous opportunity to differentiate ourselves from the competition,” Chiricosta added. “Our Ohio-based mutual status makes us unique.”

Chaney will now be responsible for all aspects of Sales, Marketing, Underwriting and Customer Relations for the company.

Since 1997, Chaney has served as Medical Mutual’s chief advisor regarding the internal and external communications aspects of business decisions. He will continue to be responsible for Advertising, Public Relations, Government Relations, Community Relations, Marketing Communications and Employee Communications.
