Medical Mutual designed the SuperMed Vision program to meet your needs - comprehensive coverage at the right price, and less hassle for your members. Through our partnership with Cole Vision Corporation, the SuperMed Vision program meets both of these goals. The program offers eye examinations for eyeglasses or contacts; eyeglass lenses and frames; and contact lens benefits through an expansive network of participating Cole Vision providers.
Cole Vision Corporation is the largest optical retailer of eyewear products and optometry services in the United States. As the vision benefits manager, Cole Managed Vision provides quality eye care and eyewear to patients through Pearle Vision Centers and optical departments in major retailers such as Sears, JCPenney, and Target. Private practice optometrists and ophthalmologists complement these retail optical practices creating an extensive network that gives members access to a vision care program that offers real choice and accessibility.
With SuperMed Vision, members are no longer restricted by the provider's office hours. Should they choose, members can access care beyond traditional office hours at the retail outlets.
Access to vision benefits is easy. The member simply visits one of the many participating network optical providers and presents their MMO identification card. The provider verifies eligibility, plan benefits and any fees that apply. There are:
- no prior authorizations or referrals needed,
- no claim forms to fill out,
- no waiting for reimbursement.
Additionally, after members exhaust their regular benefit, they can still get savings on vision services through discount arrangements.
