Personal Health Record is an electronic summary of your medical history including family history and lifestyle. The Personal Health Record is more comprehensive and in-depth than the Personal Health History.

Q: What is an iHealthRecord?

A:
The iHealthRecord is a free secure and confidential interactive personal health record. This service not only stores personal health information for you and your family, it provides interactive programs that help you better understand medical conditions and medications - all at no cost to you!

Q: What are some of the features of the iHealthRecord?

A:
Your iHealthRecord will contain the following features:

  • All of your medical information stored in one convenient and secure place.
  • Accessibility from anywhere and at any time.
  • The ability to share your iHealthRecord with family members.
  • The ability to access the iHealthRecord during an emergency.
  • A convenient iHealthRecord wallet card that provides emergency contact information and directions on how to access your iHealthRecord.
  • Automatic enrollment in health education programs, written by medical societies and other national experts, that are specific to your medications or conditions.
  • Automatic, same-day FDA product warning and recall alerts sent directly to you, based on the medications you list in your iHealthRecord.
  • Secure email and Online Consultation with your doctor.
  • Quarterly online reminders to keep your iHealthRecord current.

Q:Who can view my iHealthRecord and how do I know who has seen it?

A:
You control access to your iHealthRecord and provide access privileges to doctors, family members or emergency personnel. You can see who has visited your iHealthRecord by using the tracking log provided by the record. You are notified via email each day that someone accesses your iHealthRecord so they can monitor its use.

Q:What role does Medical Mutual play in my iHealthRecord?

A:
Medical Mutual wants to help you maintain your iHealthRecord. You can elect to automatically update your iHealthRecord with your Medical Mutual claims information. Simply click on the “Automatically add Medical Mutual as a data source to your health record” box when you register for an iHealthRecord.

Q:What happens to my Personal Health Record if I switch to another Health Plan Provider?

A:
Your iHealthRecord is yours for life, even if you leave Medical Mutual. You can always access your iHealthRecord by going to www.ihealthrecord.com

Q:Will my doctor have access to My Personal Health History?

A:
If you create an iHealthRecord you will have the option of allowing your doctor view this information. However, no one will have access to your record unless you authorize it.
