As Ohio’s hometown health insurer, we care for our communities in ways that go far beyond coverage. Through partnerships with leading institutions and organizations, we help advance care, research and community investment.
Our partnership with Case Western Reserve University is one of our longest-standing relationships, dating back to 1985. Since then, we have proudly supported several endowed faculty and leadership positions that advance innovation, education and community health:
- The John R. Mannix Medical Mutual of Ohio Professorship in Health Care Management, established in 1985.
- The Medical Mutual of Ohio Kent W. Clapp Chair and Professorship in Nursing, established in 1996.
- Medical Mutual Executive Director for Community Health in the Institute for Population and Community Health, with both the role and institute established in 2026.
Philip Cola and Kirstin Craciun are new leaders appointed to two of these positions. Endowed faculty and leadership positions are awarded to individuals recognized for their expertise, leadership and contributions to their fields. These appointments reflect a shared commitment to improving lives through education, research and population health.
