Growing Leaders Through Medical Mutual’s Business Resource Groups

One way our employees put that commitment into action is through our Business Resource Groups (BRGs), employee-led networks that bring people together around shared interests and goals. BRGs create connections that strengthen our company culture and extend our impact beyond the workplace.
A standout example is the Workplace Equity group’s mentorship program, which launched in 2023 to support long-term professional growth and strengthen our leadership pipeline. In 2025, 11 mentor-mentee pairs worked on projects that boosted health outreach, streamlined operations and advanced employee well-being. The program culminated with mentees presenting their capstone projects to leaders and peers — a milestone in public speaking for many participants.
Since its inception, the mentorship program has been a wellspring of both professional and personal growth, with some past mentees stepping into mentorship roles themselves. Led by passionate employees, it reflects how BRGs and employee-driven initiatives create meaningful interactions, insights and enhance the experience we deliver to those we serve.
