CLEVELAND, OHIO – Gregory Young has been appointed director of Strategic Initiatives at Medical Mutual.

Young will be responsible for identifying and addressing strategic challenges and opportunities brought about by the quickly evolving health insurance industry. He will also be responsible for monitoring emerging trends and evaluating the impact on the company, and on the marketplace as a whole.

As he has done in his previous role as manager of Government Relations, Young will continue making presentations about the Affordable Care Act to various internal and external audiences with a focus on the company’s strategic initiatives.

Young joined the company in 2008 and served as Government Relations senior analyst before being promoted to manager in 2011. He has been a significant contributor to Medical Mutual’s efforts to understand the broad scope and detail of healthcare reform since the Affordable Care Act became law.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in English from The Ohio State University and his Doctorate degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Young completed a two year surgical residency at the OSU Hospital and Clinics. He resides in Munson with his wife and four children. One adult child is in law school.
