CLEVELAND, OHIO – Steffany Matticola has been named Chief of Staff at Medical Mutual.
Matticola’s new responsibilities will be to assist the CEO, Rick Chiricosta, in the oversight of projects and initiatives that are important to the company. She will develop and monitor corporate performance metrics to ensure the company is achieving its goals. Matticola will also handle select meetings and other communications with internal and external parties, and assist with the communications to the company’s Board of Directors and Executive Staff.
Under the direction of the CEO, she will maintain the Strategic Plan and facilitate the annual planning process.
Most recently, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter, a position in which she has excelled for more than two years. Her previous positions over her 14 years with the Company include Vice President of Finance & Controller and Director of Accounting. Matticola joined Medical Mutual in 1998 from Ernst & Young, where she was Audit Manager, serving a wide variety of clients including Medical Mutual.
A graduate of Kent State University, Matticola holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accountancy. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Matticola serves on the board of the Cleveland Zoological Society, and previously was a member of the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland Board of Trustees.
Matticola, her husband and three children reside in Brecksville.
