Career Development Program

Medical Mutual’s Career Development Program helps recent graduates seamlessly transition from college to professional life. You will join Medical Mutual as a full-time employee, first completing our corporate rotational program and then being placed in your permanent position.

Corporate Rotation

You will spend your first six months rotating through key departments at Medical Mutual, including:

  • Care Management

  • Information Technology

  • Finance

  • Sales

  • Health Informatics

Rotating through these departments gives you a better understanding of the health insurance industry, how Medical Mutual operates and how we serve our members. During the corporate rotation, you will participate in professional development, classroom training, mentoring, networking and team-building opportunities.

Departmental Rotation and Job Placement

After your first six months, you will be placed in the department in which you will ultimately work. You will assist with the various areas in your department for three to six months, learning about your department, its specific responsibilities and how your position will contribute to the overall department and corporate goals. When you are done, you will assume your full-time professional position within the department.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for our Career Development Program, you must:

  • Have completed a Bachelor’s Degree or higher within the last two years with a minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, time-management skills and leadership experience

  • Have reliable transportation and be able to travel to other Medical Mutual locations

  • Internship and/or other work experience is preferred, but not required.
