Medical Mutual has partnered with HealthSpan to offer their members healthcare options beginning January 1, 2017. As you transition from HealthSpan coverage to Medical Mutual, rest assured that we are committed to making this a smooth transition for you. Medicare Plans

Medical Mutual will assume the Medicare coverage for many of HealthSpan’s members after December 31, 2016. For detailed information about your 2017 Medical Mutual Medicare Advantage plan premiums and benefits, refer to the 2017 Annual Notice of Change and Evidence of Coverage that you recently received in the mail.

Individual and Family Plans

Medical Mutual will offer most HealthSpan members comparable replacement coverage. HealthSpan members in some counties may not be eligible for Medical Mutual coverage in 2017. If you have questions about the transition please call your insurance agent or Medical Mutual at (800) 315-3145.

Federal Employee Members

Medical Mutual will underwrite and administer the HealthSpan Integrated Care plan as part of the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHB) in 2017. If you keep your current HealthSpan FEHB High or Standard Option, your plan will be administered by Medical Mutual next year.
